Friday Night Bites

BOOK 1: Some Girls Bite  by Chloe Neill

Friday Night Bites    description:

Ten months after vampires revealed their existence to the mortals of Chicago, they’re enjoying a celebrity status usually reserved for the Hollywood elite. But should people learn about the Raves–mass feeding parties where vampires round up humans like cattle–the citizens will start sharpening their stakes.

So now it’s up to the new vampire Merit to reconnect with her upper class family and act as liaison between humans and bloodsuckers, and keep the more unsavory aspects of the vampire lifestyle out of the media. But someone doesn’t want peace between them–someone with an ancient grudge.

fribitesBOOK 2: Friday Night Bites    3 STARS

Like many 2nd books it’s the time when Merit begins to question who she is and struggles to live up to the expectations laid on her by being the Sentinel… she also begins to have more trouble controlling the vampire within her… as previously mentioned, her and her vampire aren’t quite one with each other… and things get a little crazy as her past comes back to party with her… or not so much, as the case may be… it was definitely a roller coaster book… one moment you’re laughing at her wit and view on the world and the next you just want to cry as her relationships begin to crumble around her… and it was really not just Merit, but everyone seemed to be unsure of their role in the world… it gave everyone a kind of up in the air attitude nobody knowing where it’s gonna fall… and that’s what dropped the stars a little though the plot was still good and will still surprise you… but I have to say the ending was a winning point and definitely had me grabbing for book #3… all together pretty good…

  1. I’m really inspired along with your writing talents as neatly as with the structure in your weblog. Is this a paid subject or did you modify it yourself? Anyway stay up the nice quality writing, it is uncommon to look a great weblog like this one today..
