It’s an exciting new plot as they get to see more of what makes these magical creatures who they are… as we have the choice of good and evil… they are born one way or the other and as the shadow plague spreads it turns them evil against their will… also there’s a splash of time travel thrown in… as one of the famous caretakers of Fablehaven, Patton, is brought back from the past… and the hunt for the next artifact all makes this a non-stop adventure where any misstep will mean the fall of Fablehaven… and where no one is sure who they can trust and not just because of the plague… as the Sphinx is being called under suspicion it begins to make everyone question those around them… it’s up to Seth and Kendra to figure out the new powers they’re discovering and to use the knowledge Patton has brought with him to figure out how to save the day… the one thing I’m loving about this series is that Mull really is using a variety of angles to keep the books different while tying them all together… this world is incredible and magical where anything can happen and it seems like just about anything will happen…
