Almost Perfect by Julie Ortolon description:
Maddy, Christine, and Amy find that an old college roommate has written about them in her new self-help book-and they’re furious that she’s used them as examples of how women screw up their lives. And the worst part is, it’s sort of true. Together they make a pact: they’ll face down their fears-and maybe show Miss Perfect a thing or two!
Maddy rejected her high school sweetheart’s marriage proposal for art school years ago. Now her friends challenge her to rediscover her lost passion for arts. In doing so, she crosses paths with her old flame, Joe, at an art camp. Perhaps it’s about time that Maddy reignites another old passion.
This was a fun sweet novel… it was interesting to have it about women trying to face down their fears and show themselves that they haven’t screwed up their lives… of course this one mainly focuses on Maddy and her trying to finally achieve her dream of being an artist… and so while of course it’s really romantic and focusing on this love story of 2 old flames meeting again… it was nice to see how Maddy had to come face to face with her own issues that while may not be something that we’ve all exactly gone through… it does bring to mind how sometimes we may not realize how we do hurt ourselves and hold ourselves back at times from truly being happy… and that’s what makes this whole series one nice to read…
